The Power of Now was first published in 1997 and gained mainstream popularity when recommended by Oprah Winfrey. In the book, Eckhart describes how he learned to manage his nearly suicidal depression and the epiphanies that went along with the experience.
Whether or not you are interested in meditation, this book surely puts things into perspective when it comes to what you focus on in life. If you are present, living in “the now”, there are no problems. That may seem like an odd statement, but in this book, Eckhart has an answer for every objection possible!

Blink builds on research in psychology and behavioral studies, to dissect what happens when we make decisions. The author describes the main subject of his book as “thin-slicing”: our ability to gauge what is really important from a very narrow period of experience. This is an idea that spontaneous decisions are often as good as or even better than carefully planned and considered ones.
