Benefits of Outsourcing

What are the benefits of outsourcing? Is is smart? Should you start outsourcing for you internet marketing business? Months ago, I would have said it’s a waste of money since I can do all of the work myself. I now know better.

Yes, I can save money doing the work myself but by doing so, I am limiting my output and in turn, limiting my potential income within a given time frame. So let’s take a look at some of the reasons why you should outsource.

1. Continual Output

The key to being successful with internet marketing or in any other business is being able to produce results. The people who fail in this business are the ones who are unable to get themselves to consistently do the work. In this business, it comes down to being able to produce a massive amount of words by way of writing articles.

Let’s face it. Sometimes, writing sucks. Sometimes you will much rather be doing something else than write about some lame topic. In these cases, you can either motivate yourself to do it anyway or hire someone else to do it for you. This is one of the best outsourcing benefits that you will receive. Even if you take a break, your level of output will still continue.

2. More Time To Do What You Enjoy

In this business, there are some things that you will enjoy doing over other things. If the things that you hate doing cause you to slow down your output, then outsource it. If you hate writing for example, then outsourcing article writing will help increase your output. Now, keep in mind that if you are just starting out, then it’s probably a good idea to do the writing yourself so you know how the process is.

Since having multiple sites will increase your chances of success, you will inevitably have sites about topics that you don’t like and sites about topics that you like or at least don’t mind writing about. Outsource the writing for the sites you don’t like so you can spend all of your time writing about stuff you enjoy.

So those are two outsourcing advantages to take note of. Now, let’s talk about the disadvantages of outsourcing.

1. Outsourcing Costs

The more you outsource, the higher your expenses will be. This doesn’t always mean you will be losing money though. Let’s say you spend $5 to outsource an article. If that article makes you $5 within a year, then every month after that will be profit. You need to think of this as a business investment that will bring you money some time in the future.

There are also some outsourcing problems that you may face such as having to go through several writers before finding one who is worth your money. There is also the tendency to do less work on your part once you start to outsource.

I have to admit, ever since I started outsourcing, I have been writing a lot less. This shouldn’t be the case. The goal is to produce as much as you can on your own. From there, use the money you made from your sites and outsource as many articles as your budget allows but at the same time, keep up with your personal output.

If you write 10 articles a day and you start to outsource 5 articles a day, you better have 15 articles at the end of the day instead of having 5 outsourced articles and none of your own because you got lazy. I have been guilty of this.

Business outsourcing isn’t anything new. This is how you get more done in the same 24 hours that everyone else has. Since the name of the game is producing, spend as much time as you can as well as as much of your budget from your profit as you can to produce. The more you produce today, the better off you will be tomorrow.

Why outsource? Because it’s smart. You get more work done and you make more money. The hard part is starting. It took me a while to finally take the first step in hiring a writer.

I was greedy. I wanted all of the profits. I figured, “Why should I pay someone to write these articles when I can just do it on my own?” I was thinking too small. By myself, I can only produce so much. With a team of writers, I can produce many times more and since the articles you produce will bring you residual income overall, you will be making money every time you outsource your work.

Where to Find Writers for Cheap

There are actually a lot of different websites that you can go to the find writers for a decent price. My favorite is at Odesk.com. You can hire writers from all around the world. I’ve found most luck with writers in the Philippines. You can get 400 word articles for less than $3. Although this may sound like you’re ripping them off, if you look at what $3 can buy over there compared to over here, you’ll think differently.

People will only write for you if they think the price is fair so don’t worry about paying too little. As long as the quality is good and your writers are happy, nothing wrong with it. You’ll probably have to go through several writers before you find a decent one. You can cut this down by making your requirements sound a bit difficult such as putting down that you only accept people who are completely fluent in English for example.

There are many other benefits of outsourcing and every business person knows this. Why do you think companies even hire people to work for them? They do it to make more money. If you want to make more money with your sites, you need more content. Work out a way to spend at least 30% of your profits from the previous month on outsourcing and you’ll see your internet business increase more than you could have done on your own.
